What they don’t know is that dentists hate this sweet holiday because the candy will last for days and maybe even weeks afterward and little teeth will pay the price.

Some dentist clinics have come up with an answer. They are asking that the kids turn in their candy for a dollar a pound. The candy will then be sent to an organization where it will then be sent to the troops.

I think this is a great idea. The kids still get to dress up and trick or treat, the dentist save their teeth, the kids earn money, and the troops get some treats. Seems like everyone wins here.

Canada has issued a warning about Sherwood Brands chocolate coins sold in 840 gram packages that contain 240 pieces. Lot code is 1928S1 and UPC code 0 36077 11240 7. Sherwood Brands says this applies to Canada only and none have been shipped to the US.

They say that chocolate is not being shipped to the US from China since the melamine was discovered, and that all of it’s products are tested for Melamine before being shipped to Canada and the US.

Cadbury has taken several products off the market in Austrailia, China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, but said the products in the US and Canada are safe.

Although no candy has been cited the FDA warns against consuming this list of products.
