Low Blow Against Abortions
Three states in our union already require that ultrasounds be taken and made available to the woman before her abortion. The key words here are made available. Now a fourth state of Oklahoma want to enact the same law, however they want to require that the ultrasound screen face the woman during the ultrasound procedure and that the doctor point out and describe the fetus and its dimensions to the woman, before they will perform the abortion.
Women who have become pregnant due to rape or incest are not exempt from this law. Government should stay out of the affairs between women and their doctors. This law is being challenged as well it should be. This is nothing but a farce by right to lifers to place so much guilt on a woman that she would keep a fetus that she knows she cannot take care of, raise, or support. When such women are thus guilted into having the baby, then the government and the taxpayers complain that they have to support the child. Or when the child ends up abandoned or abused or even dead, they complain about why did the mother have the child in the first place. Make up your minds. I say that if you are that much against abortions put up or shut up.
New Safe Haven Law In Nebraska
Nebraska lawmakers are upset about the number of children left by parents under the new safe haven law which allows children to be left at places like a hospital when they wish to give them up.
The truth is, as I understand it, is that the law was meant for infants who would be abandoned, but the law was not written stating an age, so people assume that children or minors means anyone under the age of 18.
Last week a father dropped off 9 of his children ages 1 to 17. His wife had died in childbirth with their last baby and he could not face raising all these children alone so he left them at an emergency room. Since the law was enacted in July the state of Nebraska has had 16 abandoned children, including these nine. So that means besides this family they’ve had 7 others in the entire state and they are thinking about revising the law.
Maybe it’s just me, but 16 children does not seem like a lot to me when compared to the whole population of Nebraska.
The goal of this law was to protect children from being left in garbage cans to die, or being murdered by parents who couldn’t keep them. If they do change the law and put age limits on the children, what would have happened to this family of nine siblings?
As I see it either way they would have become a problem of the state as either murder victims, or wefare cases, or maybe even criminals because of lack of supervision.
That is the reality sometimes of having baby after baby after baby as the bush administration would have all Americans do, since they’ve been passing legislation about some birth control methods being the same as abortions, and their declaration that life starts when sperm meets egg.
In light of that the proper thing would be is for the federal government to fork over some funds to take care of these unwanted kids.
Do Abortions Lead To Mental Problems and Depression?
A recent study has not been able to find a link to prove that there is a connection between having an abortion and post traumatic stress syndrome or depression. This goes against previous studies which says that you are doomed to mental problems if you have an abortion.
Researchers say that the previous studies did not take into account that many women who were part of the study also had other problems in their lives such as poverty, and drug abuse for example.
The truth of the matter as I see it, is that few women who have abortions take them lightly, but they make a decision and are prepared to live with whatever consequences follow. I don’t believe that if they could do it over again most would do it differently.
Some of the reasons a woman might suffer from depression afterward would include, having an abortion when they really didn’t want one, and having to keep it a secret from family and friends because of the stigma that’s involved.
Bush Forces His Religious Beliefs On The American People
“Go forth and multiply” or so the bible says, and President Bush has found another way to force woman to do just that.
He is redefining some birth control methods as abortions, among those methods is the pill and IUD’s.
He is saying that any termination of life between the moment of conception and birth is abortion. Now understand that it usually takes between 3 or 4 days, after the sperm meets the egg for implantation to occur. The birth control methods that he mentions all interfere with that implantation.
This redefinition is important because it means that federal funding for hospitals and states that are obligated to supply birth control, will have that funding cut off. It will also protect those doctors that will not give birth control to patients that ask or need it.
His proposed actions are an outrage! As much as I do not care for Clinton, she has vowed to fight this and has some kind of petition on her website where you can go and help to stop this.
Why do the Bush’s only have two daughters from one birth? Why haven’t they bred like the cattle he is treating the American woman as. Is he also going to propose more programs so that women can pay to support all these babies he wants them to have? Or are we doomed to become like some third world countries that spew out baby after baby with no way to even feed them?
It’s fine it you don’t support a woman’s right to have an abortion. Remember, this is about the definition of abortion. I guess women that have ectopic pregnancies must just carry them till they burst and both die. This guy has gone way too far with this and for our health, protection, and personal freedom of choice ( even his God gives us free will ), this must be stopped.
