If you haven’t heard of this yet, it’s called vodka eyeballing. It’s a new fad brought over from the UK from a movie, where the shot of vodka is poured directly into the eyeball. Idiots are doing it because they believe that they’ll get drunk faster.
First of all you don’t get drunk faster because there is so little of the alcohol that get into your system from your eyes. Secondly, putting vodka in your eyes is extremely painful. Thirdly you can damage cells in your eyes. Eye doctors admit that it’s unlikely to go blind but that it is possible.
I think young people will do it as a dare to prove how manly they are, but all it proves to me is how stupid and desperate they are. They obviously are so week they need approval and this is one of the new ways they think will get it for them.
I for one am not impressed.
