A judge has been asked to make a ruling concerning a teens right to refuse conventional cancer treatment . This teen who has Hodgkin’s disease has undergone three months of chemotherapy before, and although his cancer has become active again, he wants to use alternative methods to fight it. A social worker asked the judge to force the chemo on him and remove him from his family.
Since when does a social worker have the medical experience to make such a demand? The teen in my opinion has the right to say what goes on in his body and in his life. He is the one with the disease and he knows better than anyone what the consequences are.
